Wildlife SanctuaryBharatpur Bird Sanctuary also
popularly known as "Keoladeo Ghana National Park", is
rated as one of the finest waterfowl reserves in the world. This
sanctuary gets its name from the ancient Hindu temple devoted to
Lord Shiva which has a residing deity called Keoladeo, while Ghana
in local parlance implies 'dense' which refers to the thick forests
covering the area.

Periyar
Wildlife SanctuaryPeriyar National Park and Tiger
Reserve is located in God's Own Country, Kerala. This wildlife
sanctuary has a picturesque lake at the heart of the sanctuary.
Though its a Tiger Reserve, tourists come here to view the Indian
Elephants in the act of ablution and playfulness by the Periyar
lake. Formed with the building of a dam in 1895, this reservoir
meanders around the contours of the wooded hills, providing a
permanent source of water for the local wildlife.

Sariska
Wildlife SanctuarySariska Wildlife Sanctuary is the
home to numerous carnivores including Leopard, Wild Dog, Jungle Cat,
Hyena, Jackal, andTiger. These feed on an abundance of prey species
such as Sambar, Chitel, Nilgai, Chausingha, Wild Boar and Langur.
Sariska is also well known for its large population of Rhesus
Monkeys, which are found in large numbers around Talvriksh.

Gir
National Park & SanctuaryThe Gir National Park &
Sanctuary is a mixed deciduous forest with teak, flame of the
forest, some Acacia and Banyan trees. A distinct belt of vegetation
is found along the main rivers and streams. Species like the Jambu,
Karanj, Umro, Vad, Kalam, Charal, Sirus and Amli are found here.
These trees are mostly broad leaved and evergreen, giving the area a
cool shade and the moisture content.

important link between the eastern & western ghats. The river
Cauvery flows South East and at Kollegal takes an abrupt turn
towards the North and again returns to its initial course. This

of the Biligiri Rangaswamy and Male Mahadeshwar ranges, bridging the
gap between the Western Ghats and the Eastern Ghats.
